Sweeting Brothers (Land Drainage) Ltd have thrown their support behind three local ladies – Meg, Liv and Jenna. With an average age of 24, they aim to achieve a new world record as the youngest female threesome to complete the ‘World’s Toughest Row’. They are raising funds to support three charities - A Shining Light, Best Mates and Forest Holme Hospice.
With less than 100 days to go, in December Meg, Liv and Jenna will leave La Gomera in the Canary Islands to row in continuous two-hour shifts for the 3000-mile race across the Atlantic Ocean to Antigua. Throughout their crossing, the team will battle sleep deprivation, 20ft waves and shark-infested waters.
